Southern Chapter Meeting

The Southern Chapter meets regularly on the 1st Tuesday of each month from 12 noon to 1:30pm.
Meeting times are subject to changes. Contact Southern Chapter to confirm a date.
Prospective members are welcome to attend a chapter meeting before joining but please note that meeting times may vary because of holidays or other special occasions. It is recommended that you contact each chapter by email to confirm a meeting prior to attending. A small fee may apply to cover the cost of food and beverages.

There are a few of the issues and questions to be discussed:
- Is the long-term business sales environment positive? What is the impact of the retirement of a large group of small business owners, the Baby Boomers?
- What is the consensus as to the quality of buyer leads from BizBuySell? Discussion of promotion methods. Google AdWords? Email blasts? Direct Mail? Speaking engagements at trade organizations? Cobrokering?
- Discussion of the type of listings brokers are seeing. What is your experience with Retail? Distribution, Service, Manufacturing?
- Do you do Calculations of Value or contract out for Calculations of Value? Do you find them useful? Should business brokers make Calculations of Value a requirement, possibly a paid requirement, for businesses which have complete financial statements or tax returns?

All new members are required to take CABB 101 within 9 months of joining.
