West Chapter Monthly Meeting May 2020 – VIRTUAL ZOOM MEETING
May 12, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
At our May 12, program, David Bevins and Jon Siebers will present on the sale of a distressed business. We will discuss the sale of a distressed business through an asset sale, through the purchase of the seller’s debt from its senior lender, through a coordinated foreclosure of the seller’s debt by its senior lender, and through a 363 proceeding in bankruptcy court. We will also discuss key issues that a buyer or seller must consider in a distressed sale that are not present in the sale of a financially sound business.
