This 4-day, 12-hour course covers all aspects of business brokerage in California including licensing in California, broker designations, agency, the basics of business brokerage, practicing as a business broker, CABB forms, listing, comps, recasting financials, working with buyers, as well as the selling and escrow processes. All new members are required to take CABB 101 within 9 months of joining.

Course 304: Legal Issues of More Complex Transactions

Examine a transaction from a legal perspective to gain a better understanding of the way attorneys and Courts view transactions. By having a better understanding of the legal aspects and the attorney and Court viewpoints, brokers will be in a position to (a) mitigate broker liability by identifying and addressing potential issues before they arise; (b) have more informed conversations with buyers’ and sellers’ attorneys, and (c) preserve and protect their broker fees by avoiding deal-killing surprises. This 4-hour course is designed for business brokers handling transactions in the $1MM to $5MM range.

GABB 2020 Banquet Awards Gala

The Georgia Association of Business Brokers will host its annual Holiday Gala on Dec. 10, 2020, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The dinner and awards banquet will be held at The Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter At Villa Christina – 4000 Summit Boulevard, Atlanta, GA 30319, in Dunwoody’s Perimeter Mall area starting at 7 p.m.
All members are invited to attend with one guest. In lew of bringing toys our normal tradition due to COVID-19 members are asked to make a $25.00 donation for the Foster Care Support Foundation, a Roswell-based charity that helps foster children statewide. The foundation provides free clothing, infant equipment, and developmental toys to thousands of children in foster and relative care throughout Georgia.
The GABB will also honor the members of the Million Dollar Club at this event.
