CABB 101 – Introduction to California Business Brokerage

This 4-day, 12-hour course covers all aspects of business brokerage in California including licensing in California, broker designations, agency, the basics of business brokerage, practicing as a business broker, CABB forms, listing, comps, recasting financials, working with buyers, as well as the selling and escrow processes. All new members are required to take CABB 101 within 9 months of joining.

Legal Aspects of Business Brokerage

A four-hour course covering important legal issues encountered in most business sales transactions. Increase your awareness to better identify and address potential issues for more productive solution exchanges with the attorneys of the buyers and sellers. Sample forms such as listing agreements, contracts, offers to purchase and letters of intent are used to describe appropriate approaches and document structure. Become alert to identifying and addressing potential issues early on to reduce broker liability, protect your broker fees and guide your transaction to a successful closing.
