GABB’s General Meetings begin at 10:30am and are preceded at 10:00 by a free light breakfast and networking session. The meetings will last from approximately 10:30 to somewhere between 11:30 and noon.
Our meetings begin with guest and member introductions of name, company and what you do, not a networking or elevator minute. After introductions, we have a 30-minute presentation by either a panel or a speaker and then some time for questions. After the presentation we’ll have a few items of association business and then adjourn the meeting.

As the pandemic broke in spring of 2020, many of us in the business brokerage/ intermediary fields discovered an experienced ally hailing from Florida with a YouTube broadcast that shined some light on how the pandemic was affecting the business brokerage M&A advisory industry. Jim Parker, President of Boss Group International, former State Chairman of the BBF (Business Brokers of Florida) who sits on the 2022 IBBA Board of Governors leadership team, will be flying into Cleveland to speak to NOBBA about the tricky subject of co-brokering.
After Jim discussed this event with IBBA’s new Board of Governors Chair Randy Bring of Transworld Business Advisors, Randy decided he would like to join us as well! These two will be facilitating a discussion of the subject of co-brokering in the state of Ohio. This is a subject that these two are very passionate about and our goal will be to begin a dialogue here in Ohio as to how co-brokering could be approached.
As you know, the state does not regulate business brokers via Ohio’s Division of Real Estate Licensing so co-brokering is quite different in the state of Florida where these two gentlemen are from. Let’s take some time to explore this issue and to hear from a couple of experts on the subject.
