It’s that time of the month where we get together for a “brain thrust”, put our thinking caps on and discuss challenges, success and the ongoing puzzles of our complicated industry.
We are in month 2 of 2023. What type of deal flow are you experiencing? What type of listings do you see on the horizon and what opportunities can we all collaborate with.
Our last Mastermind Meeting and Broker Deal XChange meeting we went over the Q3 Market Pulse Survey and how to utilize this report to help educate the community and the market. We talked about how to leverage the Market Pulse Report Survey to optimize your relationship with prospect business owners and sellers.
For our February we will have talks on market perspectives when it comes to discussions on Exit Planning for business owners. How do you get your talks started with a business owner when it comes to their intentions to sell or exit from the business. We will share how others “feel out” business owners in their potential sale and what are expectations are set.

Our featured presenter will be Carol Ross, Executive Secretary of the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board under Ohio’s Department of Commerce. Before becoming Executive Secretary of the OCILB in 1996, Carol served for 27 years as Supervisor in the Bureau of Building Code Compliance, where she coordinated inspections for structural, electrical and plumbing inspectors and supervised administrative staff. Carol will be discussing a number of topics ranging from licensing requirements in the construction trades to the recruitment of more qualified tradespersons our state needs. Carol first visited NOBBA almost a decade ago under the leadership of former president Henry Schneps. As I recall, Carol was a wealth of important information, and I am so excited to bring her back to Cleveland from her post in Columbus.
Additionally, for our first meeting of 2023, all members will receive a NOBBA branded padfolio and highlighter pen! These little NOBBA branded tools have been purchased with the hope of encouraging more referrals amongst NOBBA members, reminding us in our sales meetings of the vast referral resources we have available through NOBBA!
