Glen Cooper continued his 7-part BBP webinar series on “The Future of Business Brokerage!”
In this 6th-in-the-series webinar, he quickly reviewed what we covered so far in his series, and then introduced us to what is actually Tool #5 in his 5-tool “kit.” Glen will then summarize the whole course on Thursday, December 14th, Glen’s last webinar this year. You won’t want to miss either of these BBP webinars.
This webinar included:
1) A review discussion of How to Predict the Future, the Five Fundamental Tools and the “latest wrinkles”. Yes, there is a way to predict the future! But, for folks who missed Parts 1-5 in February, March, April, May and in September, Glen summarized what we discussed in those previous sessions before marching on.
2) He introduced us to Tool #5, Our Time Travel Tool. Learning business brokerage is like drinking from a firehose! Right? Especially when you’re new to this field, it’s just awful. It really does take years to learn to be an expert in business brokerage. So, what’s the best strategy to learn it, and how long does it really take? And, if you’re a veteran already, what’s new on the horizon?
In addition, Glen’s “Time Travel Tool” isn’t quite what you expect it to be. Expect a surprise here.
Glen has definitely traveled through a lot of time as a business broker. He started in 1979! That’s 44 years ago! In fact, this month marks the beginning of his 45th year!
How does a business broker last that long? How many times did Glen have to change how he did business? What changes are coming next? What is this “Time Control Tool” and how does it fit in with the four other tools to help us predict our future as business brokers?
As usual, Glen shared his own personal journey with us. In fact, Glen has been seriously ill for about a year now, and is just beginning to recover. He shared with us why the “time travel tool,” in particular, was extra relevant to him this last year when, in fact, it began to look like his time was up!
