For 18 years, Jeff Flannery ran a lucrative executive search practice, often earning around $500k a year. But because the business depended heavily on his own work, he wasn’t building a saleable asset. In his second entrepreneurial chapter, Jeff focused on building equity instead. Since acquiring his first Hand & Stone spa in 2019, he has grown to 17 locations generating over $25m in revenue and $2.5m in EBITDA. After working intense hours to scale quickly, he now sees $50m in revenue as a realistic goal and hopes his story shows it’s never too late to pivot and build something substantial.
