We are excited to announce our speaker for the event is Len Krick. Len will be speaking about ‘How to Build a Large-Scale Referral System’.
Over time, business brokers typically build a small, high-quality network of trusted referral sources. This is a mutually-beneficial system, where each party refers business to the other. There are ways to develop a large-scale, fee-driven referral program. Len will discuss how to do this and use an actual example of one he built in his office. How did he do it? Did it work? Join us and you will see! We think this will open your eyes and enable you to, maybe, ‘think outside the box.’

Special Note: Len will be touring BBF offices all that week, with different topics each day. Keep an eye out for other lunch-and-learns around the state that week. Len is an amazing and knowledgeable Business Broker with over 50 years of experience.

Networking will begin at 10:30 am, so bring your business cards and listings.
We will start at 11:00 am sharp, on August 15, 2023.
We will also have a game of Trivia hosted by Tammy Youst-Collins with Centennial Bank. It will be a fun way to learn about the new SBA rules.

This 2-day, 7-hour course is designed for California business brokers at all experience levels. The purpose of this course is to examine a variety of aspects of small business transactions from a legal perspective and gain a better understanding of the way attorneys view transactions. By having a better understanding of the legal aspects and attorney viewpoints, brokers will be in a position to (a) foresee potential issues before they arise, (b) have more informed conversations with attorneys which may help them save transactions from “death by lawyer”, (c) be able to better represent their clients by identifying and addressing issues that may create unwanted legal liability, (d) preserve and protect their broker fees, and (e) avoid litigation and stay out of court.
