Today’s guest Maurice Thomas found himself in his early 60s, semi-retired. But involuntarily so. So rather than ride off into the sunset, Maurice decides to jump back into his career — this time, by buying a business. Maurice and his partner acquired a 30-year-old, 30-employee electrical contracting business with nearly $5m in revenue and $1m in SDE. Maurice’s story is a great example of one of my favorite parts of buying a business: That when you might otherwise feel stuck, the revelation that you can go out & buy a business unlocks a whole universe of possibility.
